“Biggie: THE LIFE OF NOTORIOUS B.I.G.” (8 P.M., A&E): This new, three-hour documentary by director Mark Ford, includes rappers Jay Z and Nas discussing the late B.I.G.’s impact on hip-hop culture.

“Road to 9/11, part 1” (9 p.m., History): This special documentary provides a full overview of events that led to the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks. The dramatic narrative weaves together the complex global connections that were developing over two decades. As the threat was growing, most Americans were distracted by other issues on the home front.

“Chandra Levy: AN AMERICAN MURDER” (8 P.M., TLC): This new three-hour documentary examines the search that gripped the nation in 2001. Levy was an intern at the FBI in Washington, D.C., who was having an affair with U.S. Rep. Gary Condit. Her disappearance was one of the most bizarre in American history.

Jewish Film Festival continues this week

YOUNGSTOWN

“Once in a Lifetime,” an uplifting schoolhouse drama based on a true story, will be screened at 7 p.m. Thursday at Movies 8 in Boardman, as part of the continuing Youngstown Area Jewish Film Festival. In the film, a French high-school teacher taps lessons of the Holocaust in an effort to motivate her troubled students.

Jeffrey Chrystal Catering will sponsor the documentary “In Search of Israeli Cuisine” at 7 p.m. Sunday at DeYor Performing Arts Center, downtown. An authentic Israeli dinner will be served at 5 p.m. before the movie. The cost is $27 for dinner and movie; pre-sale for a student movie-only ticket is $5, and pre-sale movie-only tickets for adults are $7. The cost is $10 at the door.
