Orthopedic surgeon Dr. Matt Noyes, M.D.

Salem Regional Medical Center (SRMC) has added fellowship-trained, board-certified orthopedic surgeon Dr. Matt Noyes, M.D., to its Active Medical Staff. He joins Drs. Lee T. Simon, M.D.; and Dominic J. Peters, M.D., at Salem Orthopaedic Surgery located in the Orthopaedic Bone & Joint Center at SRMC, 1995 E. State St.

Noyes specializes in arthroscopic shoulder and elbow procedures; rotator cuff and labral tears; shoulder replacements; treatment of biceps injuries; treatment of upper extremity fractures; and carpal and cubital tunnel releases. In addition, Noyes performs the Tenex procedure, a minimally-invasive approach to treating chronic tendon pain of the elbow, shoulder, knee, hip, foot and ankle.

Area hospitals have changed their names

YOUNGSTOWN

Several area hospitals have changed their names as part of their integration in May 2017 into the Steward Health Care System with headquarters in Boston. The new names are: Sharon Regional Medical Center in Pennsylvania, formerly Sharon Regional Health System; Trumbull Regional Medical Center in Warren, formerly Trumbull Memorial Hospital; Northside Regional Medical Center in Youngstown, formerly Northside Medical Center. The name of Hillside Rehabilitation Hospital in Howland remains the same.

National Survivors of Suicide Awareness Day

WARREN

The 19th annual Candlelight Vigil is at 6 p.m. Nov. 18 on National Survivors of Suicide Awareness Day at the Warren Reach Center, 2609 Weir Road. The vigil, coordinated by Help Network of Northeast Ohio, is held in remembrance of loved ones who died by suicide and anyone who has lost a loved one to suicide.
