The South Range High School football team (10-0) just missed out on being named the winner of the Associated Press state poll for the second time in school history. South Range finished second in this season’s final poll that was released Monday. In Division V, South Range earned 200 points and received five first-place votes. Finishing first was Pemberville Eastwood (10-0) with 208 points and 14 first-place votes. South Range was its division winner in 2006. In Div. III, Canfield (10-0) finished second to Trotwood Madison (10-0). The Cardinals earned 171 points and three first-place votes. Trotwood-Madison was named the top team with 205 points and 17 first-place votes. In Div. IV, Girard (9-1) finished ninth with 45 points. Finishing 12th-14th were Cardinal Mooney (20 points), Lakeview (15) and Poland (14).
