Boardman water tank cleaning begins this week, draining began today

BOARDMAN — The Youngstown Water Department will begin cleaning and washout of the water tank located on Erskine Avenue on Saturday and Sunday.

The draining process for the tank began today. The refilling process will be completed by Nov. 10.

During this two-week period, it is likely some customers on the South Side of Youngstown and Boardman will experience lower-than-normal water pressure, according to a news release from Dan Blakely, engineering assistant for the city.
