The Palazzos celebrate 50th with their family

Dennis and Roe Palazzo celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at a family dinner hosted by their children at Johnny’s Restaurant.

The couple have five children, Dennis (Kathy) Palazzo Jr. of Merrill, Wis.; Nicole Palazzo of Canfield; Jamie (Jamie) Vogel of Struthers; James (Carrie) Palazzo of Boardman; and Lisa (Walt) Kustra of New Castle, Pa. They also have seven grandchildren, Joshua and Matthew Palazzo; Cori Lynn Vogel, Nathan and Nicholas Durkin, and Ian Vogel; and Walter John “Jack” Kustra.

Mr. Palazzo and the former Roe Cappiello were married Sept. 4, 1967, at St. Columba Cathedral.

The Palazzos are active members at St. Charles Borromeo Parish in Boardman.

Mrs. Palazzo worked at Palazzo’s Restaurant for many years, and also at Macy’s for 20 years before she retired.

Mr. Palazzo, also retired, was a registered nurse at Northside Hospital for 20 years.
