Discount tickets on sale for LaureLive rock fest

CHESTERLAND

Heavily discounted early-bird tickets are now on sale for the third annual LaureLive rock festival, which will take place June 9-10 at the Laurel School, 7420 Fairmount Road.

A pass for both days is $75 ($45 for one day) until early December. Go to LaureLive.com. Children’s two-day passes are $25. Prices will rise incrementally to a maximum of $125 the week of the festival.

The lineup will be announced shortly after Thanksgiving. Producers have vowed to give the 2018 event the biggest lineup of artists yet.

Halloween party for kids, adults at PSU campus

SHARON, PA.

Penn State Shenango’s THON organization’s annual Halloween party will take place Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. in the campus auditorium, across from the Sharon Post Office. Admission is $2 (free for children age 2 and under). Children 17 and younger must be accompanied by a parent.

The party will be a safe environment where kids can decorate trick-or-treat bags, create masks and participate in a scavenger hunt.

There also will be face painting, a photo booth ,a DJ and free candy. Prizes will be awarded for the best costume in various age groups.

Food and crafts will be available to purchase. All proceeds will be donated to THON, which is the nickname for the Penn State Panhellenic Dance Marathon. For information, call 724-983-2836.

Dana choral concert

YOUNGSTOWN

The Dana School of Music’s fall choral concert will take place Monday at 7:30 p.m. at St. Columba Cathedral, 159 W. Rayen Ave. Admission is free, but offerings will be accepted.

The concert will feature the Dana Chorale, University Chorus and YSU Barbershop Chorus, all under the direction of Hae-Jong Lee. For information, call 330-941-2307.
