Brian McGee, 43, of Cort-land, was killed Sunday night, and his passenger, Felicia Boyles, 27, of Burghill was seriously injured in a crash with a truck on state Route 88 at Hoagland-Blackstub Road.
McGee was driving his motorcycle in the 7:48 p.m. crash. The driver of the dump truck was not injured.
McGee died at St. Joseph Warren Hospital in Warren. Boyles was taken to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.
McGee was traveling east on Route 88 and entering the intersection with Hoagland-Blackstub Road when the 19-year-old driver of the northbound truck turned right from Hoagland-Blackstub onto Route 88.
The motorcycle struck the back of the truck, ejecting its driver and passenger.
No citations have been issued, but the crash remains under investigation, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.
Trafficking indictment

A federal grand jury indicted a Warren man Monday in connection with heroin trafficking.
Shawn L. Price, 37, of Fourth Street, knowingly distributed heroin Aug. 10 and 24, 2016, according to the indictment.
The U.S. Attorney’s office said the indictment resulted from an investigation conducted by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Mahoning Valley Law Enforcement Task Force.
Facing drug charge

Police arrested a Youngstown man on a charge of drug trafficking after police conducted a traffic stop near 4441 Market St. on Saturday evening.
According to the report, the passenger of the vehicle pulled over, James Levy, 48, of Cherry Hill Drive, kept reaching under his seat during the traffic stop despite being advised to keep his hands visible. Three other passengers were also in the vehicle – all of them children.
Upon a search of the vehicle, the officers found suspected marijuana, $132 of loose currency, a digital scale with marijuana residue and a metal marijuana grinder.
James told officers the items were his. He is charged with trafficking in drugs and obstructing official business, reports said.
He has a hearing at 8:30 a.m. today in Mahoning County Area Court.
Meeting postponed
GIRARD
The Girard Planning Commission meeting scheduled for 3 p.m. Thursday has been postponed.
The meeting will be rescheduled to a date to be announced in November.
