Diaper bag snatched in Monday night robbery in Youngstown

YOUNGSTOWN — Reports said a 24-year-old woman Monday evening had her diaper bag taken from her after a man hit her in the face with a gun.

The woman told police she was walking into an apartment building about 9:15 p.m. in the 2500 block of Tyrell Avenue on the West Side when a man asked her to open the door, then pulled a gun and demanded her money.

When the woman said she had none, the robber grabbed her diaper bag, hit her in the face then grabbed the bag and ran away.

The woman refused medical attention, reports said.
