Steward rebrands local hospitals

YOUNGSTOWN
Steward Health Care has new brand names for four local hospitals.
The hospital title updates are: Sharon Regional Health System in Sharon, Pa., to Sharon Regional Medical Center; Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren to Trumbull Regional Medical Center; Northside Medical Center in Youngstown to Northside Regional Medical Center; and Hillside Rehabilitation Hospital in Howland will remain the same.
Boston-based Steward purchased eight Community Health System hospitals including ValleyCare Health System of Ohio’s Northside, Trumbull Regional, Hillside and Sharon Regional in May.
Boston-based Steward is a private, physician-led, for-profit health care provider with 36 hospitals in 10 states with 37,000 employees.
The hospital system said it has created a model of health care focused on patient wellness and preventive care that works to improve outcomes while reducing costs. The new hospital names reflect the regional expansion of care by Steward.
The hospitals will receive updated logos and signage over the coming months. Online listings of the hospitals also will be updated.
One of the first major technology investments made here is a new advanced electronic health record system that connects every point of patient care anywhere in the health care continuum. The technology is expected to go live in Ohio and Pennsylvania in July 2018.
