PULASKI, PA.

The New Castle School of Trades will host its annual fall open house from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Nov. 9.

Participants will receive a tour of the facility along with information on the programs and services offered, and also are able to meet and hear from many of the region’s successful companies.

Representatives from the Sweeney Automotive Group, Fyda Freightliner, Cleveland Brothers CAT, Dockside Marine, Autosoft and Steamfitters Local No. 449 will provide information and insight on the qualifications and skills necessary to take advantage of the employment opportunities becoming available throughout the region due to the increased demand for skilled tradesmen.

The school’s enrollment of 550 students reflects continued growth spurred by industry demands, officials said.

NCST was founded in 1945 and is a leading technical institute in the Pennsylvania and Ohio area located at 4117 Pulaski Road, New Castle.

The school has evolved from educating tradesmen to training more innovative craftsmen who seek to become highly skilled technicians.
