Mount Union 66, Wilmington 7

WILMINGTON

The Purple Raiders scored 56 unanswered points. Mount Union put up 639 yards of offense. Quarterback D’Angelo Fulford had 268 yards passing. Fulford tied a season-high six touchdowns. Receiver Justin Hill caught five passes for 105 yards and two touchdowns. Wilmington quarterback Luke Creditt threw for 151 yards and a touchdown on 14 of 23 passing.

Wooster 58, Hiram 25

HIRAM

Wooster quarterback Gary Muntean, a Struthers High School graduate, threw for 254 yards and five touchdowns. Muntean broke Wooster’s career passing yards and single-season passing touchdowns records. He now has 7,338 passing yards for his career. He has 24 passing touchdowns this season, and his five against Hiram tied the school record for passing TDs in a game. Muntean’s now one of two players in program history with multiple five-touchdown games. The Scots threw for total seven touchdowns, breaking the school record for team passing touchdowns in a game. The previous team total record was set in 1997.

Washington & Jefferson 34, Westminster 33 OT

WASHINGTON, PA.

The Titans scored a touchdown on their first possession in overtime to cut No. 15 Washington & Jefferson’s lead to 34-33. But a failed two-point conversion snapped Westminster’s five-game winning streak. The Presidents tied the game at 27 with 8:44 remaining, and took the lead in overtime on a Jacob Adams 12-yard pass to Cody Hearst. Westminster’s Paul Columbo threw for 241 yards and two touchdowns on 15 of 24 passing. Kimu Kim ran for 59 yards and two scores on 13 carries for the Titans. Presidents’ quarterback Alex Rowse threw for 231 yards and two touchdowns on 23 of 36 passing. Washington and Jefferson’s EJ Thompson ran for 76 yards and a touchdown on 16 attempts.

Duquesne 24, Saint Francis 7

PITTSBURGH

A fumble recovery and a Tommy Stuart touchdown pass rallied Duquesne out of an early hole to defeat Saint Francis (Pa.) in a meeting of teams undefeated in the Northeast Conference. Stuart completed 15 of 22 passes for 142 yards and the 21-yard TD toss to Chavas Rawlins with 67 seconds left in the first quarter as the Dukes (6-1, 3-0), and on a six-game win streak, forged a 10-7 lead and shut out Saint Francis (4-3, 2-1) the rest of the game. Bear Fenimore took the Red Flash 55 yards after the opening kickoff in just over a minute, scoring on a keeper from the 1. After Duquesne answered with a John Domit field goal, Fenimore had Saint Francis rolling again, finding Joel Denley at the 35, when Duquesne’s Jonathant Istache forced a fumble on the tackle, grabbed the ball and returned it 40 yards. Stuart hit Rawlins for the go-ahead score five plays later.

Dayton 48, Davidson 22

DAVIDSON, N.C.

Tucker Yinger ran for 135 yards and two touchdowns, and Dayton scored 27 third-quarter points to pull away from Davidson. Alex Jeske threw two touchdown passes and Cole Kaparos ran for two more for Dayton (3-5, 2-3 Pioneer League), which bounced back from a 17-7 home loss to league-leader Campbell on Oct. 14. Davidson (2-5, 0-4) has lost four straight. Yinger ran for a 71-yard touchdown early in the second half. Dayton then forced turnovers on Davidson’s next two series. Jack Crain picked off a Tyler Phelps pass and returned it 34 yards into the end zone. Crain also forced a Phelps’ fumble and recovered the ball. Kaparos scored on a 7-yard run three plays later, and his 1-yarder capped the third-quarter surge.

It was Yinger’s sixth 100-yard game this season. Phelps ran for a 44-yard score and threw a 28-yard touchdown pass to lead Davidson.
