High honor for chamber president

YOUNGSTOWN

Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber President and CEO Tom Humphries is among five prominent Northeast Ohio business leaders who will be inducted into the 2017 class of Cleveland Magazine’s Community Leader Business Hall of Fame on Nov. 2 in Cleveland.

The Business Hall of Fame – established in 1996 – recognizes men and women who have made a deep impact on their businesses and in the community and are chosen each year by a blue-ribbon panel of Northeast Ohio business executives. Humphries will be recognized alongside fellow inductees: Ronn Richard, president and CEO, Cleveland Foundation; Rick Maron, founder and partner, MRN Ltd.; Jack Kahl, founder and retired CEO, ShurTech Brands LLC; and Jody Berg, president and CEO, Vitamix.

New businesses to move into Liberty

LIBERTY

As part of the total reconstruction of Belmont Avenue, a number of new businesses will move into Liberty.

The new businesses are: Dollar General, Generations Behavioral Health, Residential Staffing Agency and Shepherd of the Valley assisted living.

In addition to the new businesses, several existing businesses along the corridor will undergo renovations.

New Youngstown site for Mr. Sandless

YOUNGSTOWN

Mr. Sandless, a wooden floor refinishing company, has a new site located in the Youngstown region.

Mr. Sandless Youngstown is one of a several dozen expansions for the company this year.

The original model, Mr. Sandless Philadelphia, has been in operation since 2004 and has serviced more than 20,000 residential clients along with hundreds of commercial properties. Mr. Sandless started offering franchises in 2006 and has opened 265 units in more than 145 locations.
