Canine Campus hosts open house Sunday

The Canine Campus Training and Wellness Center, 757 N. Main St., is having its second annual open house from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday.

The event is a fundraiser for The Together Journey, a nonprofit organization that helps individuals with disabilities defer the costs associated with training a service dog.

The open house will mark the grand opening of the Barktastic Bakery inside The Canine Campus. There will be more than 20 vendors, discounts on classes, bobbing for “apples,” a basket auction, pizza and a dog-costume contest for scariest, funniest, best small dog, best large dog and best overall costumes.

The vendors will vote on the costume contest winners and hand out treats as the dogs come around their tables to Trick for Treats.
