Regional artists in salute to Tom Petty

More than a dozen of Northeast Ohio’s finest vocalists will take part in “Won’t Back Down,” a celebration of the life and music of the late Tom Petty, on Nov. 4 at EJ Thomas Hall.

Guest artists, each performing one Petty song, will include Becky Boyd, Shanna Delaney (of By Light We Loom), Ray Flanagan, John Patrick Halling (of John Patrick & The Outside Voices), Angie Haze, Ryan Humbert, Corey King (of the Ohio Weather Band), Brent Kirby, Jeff Klemm, Brian Lisik, Cody J. Martin, Dan Monea (of Hey Monea!), Gretchen Pleuss, Marc Lee Shannon (of the Michael Stanley Band), Tracey Thomas, White Buffalo Woman and Zach. More performers will be announced.

An all-star house band has been assembled for the event, which will consist of John Anthony (of The Vindys) and Erin Vaughn on guitars, Paul Lewis on bass, Ed Davis (also of The Vindys) on drums, Russ Flanagan on keys, and Emily Bates on harmony vocals. Humbert will host the show.
