THURSDAY

Smith Corners United Methodist Church, 3000 S. Canfield-Niles Road, Austintown, will host a free supper from 4:30 to 6 p.m.. The Supper at the Corner is a community outreach and open to all each month. Donations are accepted to continue this program.

Woodworth Church of the Brethren, 30 E. Western Reserve Road, will host a drive-thru beef tips and noodles dinner from 2:30 to 6 p.m. Menu consists of Angus beef tips, homestyle noodles, corn, roll with butter and homemade cookie. FRIDAY

Christ the Good Shepherd Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will host Friday pirogi sales. Call in orders to 330-755-1316 Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. with pickup from noon to 1:30 p.m. Friday. Choose potato, kraut or prune pirogi at $6 per dozen.

Christ Our Savior Parish at Holy Trinity Church, 250 N. Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. The cost is $6 a dozen. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi while supplies last. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 10 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $11 for adults and $6 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.75. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, will sell potato and cheese pirogi. To order, call 330-799-0084 from 8:30 a.m. to noon Thursday and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Cost is $7 a dozen. No containers are necessary. Walk-ins are welcome. Use the side entrance.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, sells potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8 a.m. to noon Thursday and today. Pickup will be today from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $6.50 per dozen. Pirogi lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Walk-in orders are welcome.

SATURDAY

Angels for Animals Halloween Pancake Breakfast will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Andrews Hall, 4750 W. South Range Road in Canfield. The cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children 6 and under. The menu includes regular and specialty pancakes, sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, home fries, pastries, toast, mixed fruit, orange juice, coffee, milk and tea. There will be a basket raffle and a 50-50 raffle. All proceeds will benefit the feline voucher project, targeting Salem.

Bessemer Presbyterian Church, 29 N. Main St., Bessemer, Pa., will host a ham loaf dinner from 5 to 7 p.m.. Proceeds benefit the church’s general fund. Cortland United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women group will host its annual turkey dinner from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.. Menu includes roast turkey with gravy and stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans, coleslaw, cranberry sauce, bread, dessert and beverage. Cost is $9.50. Proceeds used to benefit mission projects.

Southington American Legion Post 751, 3145 Warren-Burton Road in Southington, will serve a Swiss steak dinner from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Donations are $9 for adults and $4.50 for children under 12. Meal includes Swiss steak in gravy, real mashed potatoes, coleslaw, vegetable, drinks and dessert. Takeouts are welcome.

SUNDAY

Jackson Township Fire Department and Auxiliary will serve a pancake and sausage breakfast from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Jackson Township Administrative Building, 10613 Mahoning Ave. The menu includes all-you-can-eat pancakes, sausage, coffee, orange juice and milk. Takeouts available. Cost for adults is $6, children age 5-12 are $3; children 4 and under are free. There also will be a basket auction and a 50-50 raffle.

Ellsworth Community Church, 11171 Akron Canfield Road, will host a chicken ’n biscuit sit-down dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. Menu includes chicken and gravy over biscuits, mashed potatoes, vegetables, dessert and drink. TAKING ORDERS

Calvary United Methodist Church, 12062 South Ave., North Lima, is taking orders for homemade apple dumplings. To place an order, call 330-549-2588 and leave your name, phone number, the number of dumplings you want, if you want them baked or frozen unbaked and the day you will pick them up. The cost is $3.25 per dumpling. Orders will be ready for pick up from noon to 4 p.m. Oct. 26 and 27 and from 10 a.m. to noon Oct. 28.

Cultural Society of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church will sell cabbage or cottage cheese haluski at $6 per quart. Orders can be called in Monday through next Wednesday. Give your name, phone number and whether you want cabbage or cottage cheese haluski and how many quarts you want. First Presbyterian Church of Girard, 890 Church Hill-Hubbard Road, will sell chicken noodle soup, vegetable beef soup, homemade pepperoni rolls, fresh-baked bread and homemade sticky buns. Soup is $5 per quart and $3 per pint. Pepperoni rolls are $8 for a large and $2.50 for a single. Bread is $2 for a large loaf and $1.50 for a small loaf. Sticky buns are four for $2.50. Orders must be placed by today by calling 330-759-1460. After deadline for orders, items will be only as available. Pickup will take place at the church from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, is taking orders for apple and cherry strudel. The cost is $10 each. Call 330-550-6628 to order.

St. Anthony Altar and Rosary, 1125 Turin Ave., Youngstown, is taking orders for its annual Thanksgiving strudel sale with apple, cherry, cherry and cheese, and blueberry and cheese strudel. Cost is $10 each, and orders must be placed by Nov. 5 by calling Dorothy at 330-793-2254. Pickup is available from 10:30 a.m. to noon Nov. 12 in the cafeteria after Mass.

Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Church is selling homemade old-fashioned potato and cheese pirogi Saturday and Nov. 4. Cost is $7 per dozen. Legacy Dog Rescue and Friends of Fido will serve a charity spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Oct. 26 at William Farr Lodge, 1350 Shannon Road, Girard. All-you-can-eat homemade pasta dinner.
