Struthers pharmacy employees robbed, held at gunpoint

Two men attempted to rob employees of Hometown Pharmacy in Struthers on Saturday, according to a police report.

Surveillance video from the pharmacy shows the men holding employees at gunpoint.

The men apparently were interested only in stealing drugs. After failing to gain access to the pharmacy due to a metal security door separating the drugs from the rest of the store, the would-be robbers left.

They were wearing gloves, jackets and ski masks during the attempted robbery.

Detective Jeff Lewis said the event was unusual for the city.
