St. Rose School will have a Home and School Auction at 6 p.m. Saturday in the school gym, 61 E. Main St., Girard. The event will feature a live, silent and basket auction. Boardman Lions Club will host its first Celebrity Bartender fundraiser from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Carmella’s Cafe, 805 E. Western Reserve Road, Suite 8. Ray “Boom Boom” Mancini will be the celebrity bartender. All tips raised will be used in the Boardman community.

Canfield-Jackson Milton Kiwanis will host a Swiss steak dinner fundraiser from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sunday at A La Cart Catering, 429 Lisbon St., Canfield. Tickets may be purchased at the door, and cost is $12 for adults, $7.50 for children age 4 to 9, and free to children 3 and under. Proceeds will be used for scholarships and local projects.

Salem Regional Medical Center's Auxiliary will hold a fundraiser featuring gourmet chocolate bars from Philadelphia Candies. The candy will be sold Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. each day in the SRMC cafeteria. Several chocolate-bar varieties will be available for $1 each. Mahoning County Extension, 490 S. Broad St., Canfield, will host a class from 10:00 a.m. to noon Monday on the origin of growing and crafting gourds. Pam Baytos, Mahoning County master gardener volunteer, will teach participants about the history of gourds and how they are used today. Beatles in Cleveland: The Notorious 1964 and 1966 Concerts will be presented by author Dave Schwensen at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 30 at the Salem Public Library, 821 E. State St., Salem. Highlights of the evening’s program will include films of Beatles concerts at Cleveland Public Hall in 1964 and Cleveland Municipal Stadium in 1966. Memorabilia and music will be available for viewing 30 minutes before and after the program. Stambaugh Auditorium will present the silent film “Jekyll & Hyde” at 4 p.m. Oct. 29. Through scientific experiments gone wrong, Dr. Henry Jekyll faces horrible consequences during his transformation into the animalistic Mr. Hyde. Organist Dorothy Papadokos will bring the classic film to life by use of the E.M. Skinner pipe organ.

Sutliff Museum, 444 Mahoning Ave., Warren, has opened a new exhibit that will be open to the public through January 2018. The exhibit is “Musicians and Scholars: the Dana Family of Warren, Ohio.” It explores the origin of the Dana family, through the relationship of Dana to the Sutliff family through Mrs. Phebe Lord Martin Sutliff. Unity Centre for Spiritual Living, 1226 Naylor Lloyd Road in Girard, will host the annual Halloween Party at 6 p.m. Oct. 28. The theme this year is “Past and Future.” Come as a past life, or as a famous person from the past. The future could be a futuristic costume or any creative idea. Mahoning Valley Historical Society will host “History to Go: A View From the Hill” on Oct. 28. Guided tours of Oak Hill Cemetery, 344 Oak Hill Avenue, will begin at 1 and 3 p.m. Tours begin at the entry gates with a brief orientation and continue through the remarkable landscape. Visitors will discover a broad cross-section of the community represented in memorial architecture, landscape design and historic photographs. A donation of $5 per adult is appreciated. Trumbull County Farm Bureau board of trustees invites the public to take a Wine Tour on Nov. 4 to visit three local destinations: Hartford Hill, Greene Eagle and Country Porch. The tour starts with tasting and a tour at 2:30 p.m. at Hartford Hill Winery and will serve as the first and last stop of the tour. The bus will depart for the next part of the tour at 3:30 p.m. sharp. The bus returns about 6:45 p.m. to Hartford Hill for dinner. The cost for Farm Bureau members is $30; non-members is $60.
