Victoria Lowe art on display at Butler

YOUNGSTOWN

An exhibition of paintings by Victoria Lowe, titled “In the Realm of the Senses,” is on display at the Butler Institute of American Art, 524 Wick Ave.

The exhibition, which will run through Dec. 17, is a retrospective of her work.

“The Butler’s Beecher Center galleries focus on new artistic media or unique approaches to traditional media,” said Louis Zona, director of the museum. “Victoria Lowe’s work is a perfect fit in that it celebrates the centuries-old concept of paint on canvas, yet she does so by layering sprayed-on space age paint. The effect is pure 21st century.”
