Police probe shooting at West Hylda Avenue and Market Street

YOUNGSTOWN — Reports said officers found shell casings from two different weapons after investigating a shooting at West Hylda Avenue and Market Street.

Reports said a 24-year-old woman was wounded in the arm and was driven to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital after a group of women were fighting in the street about 2:50 a.m.

The victim said she did not know anyone in the fight but was only watching when she was shot.

Police found a 9mm shell casing and three .45-caliber shell casings at the scene, reports said.
