Water distribution flushing program

LEETONIA

The village water department will begin the water distribution flushing program Tuesday.

The program should take two to three weeks to complete.

Customers are asked to use caution during the flushing program because it is expected to cause lower water pressure and discolored water that may cause staining.

Ursuline to host information night

YOUNGSTOWN

Ursuline High School will host a special information night for prospective parents at 7 p.m. Oct. 25 in the Deibel-Morley Arts Center on the Ursuline campus.

The Ursuline administrative team will present a program regarding tuition, financial aid, college preparatory curriculum, dress code, extracurricular programs and the spiritual environment of Ursuline.

Parents will have the opportunity to tour the school. A tuition raffle will take place. Refreshments will be provided.

Drop-off event for prescription drugs

LIBERTY

Liberty Township Police Department, along with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, will be sponsoring National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 28 at the township administration building, 1315 Church Hill-Hubbard Road.

Anyone may bring unused, unwanted or expired prescription drugs.

A township police officer will be present to supervise the collection.

No needles, sharps or liquids will be accepted.

Officers raise money for Shop with a Cop

KINSMAN

The officers of Kinsman Township Police Department will be waiting tables at Times Square Restaurant, 8078 Main St., from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 23.

The officers will be working for tips, which will be used for the annual Shop with a Cop program.

The officers will take local children to local businesses to shop for Christmas on Dec. 13.

The number of children who participate depends on the amount of money raised.
