PNC Bank saw total revenue increase $65 million, or 2 percent, to $4.1 billion during the third quarter, the bank reported Friday. The bank’s third-quarter 2017 net income of $1.1 billion was up from last year’s $1 billion.

Net interest income grew $87 million, or 4 percent, to $2.3 billion primarily due to higher loan yields and balances. Loans were $221.1 billion.

Commercial-lending balances increased $2.8 billion reflecting growth in PNC’s real-estate, corporate banking, business credit and equipment finance businesses.
