Gianna Centofanti, entrepreneurship and research coordinator at the Youngstown Business Incubator, is passionate about doing good and seeing companies do good.

That’s why she decided, and saw the need, to create a conference for social enterprise.

YBI’s So Good conference for social entrepreneurs and those interested in social entrepreneurship took place at Youngstown State University’s Williamson College of Business on Thursday.

“My goal for the day is to educate and inspire social entrepreneurs,” Centofanti said.

About 90 people were in attendance to learn about social enterprise. The topics at the conference included financing a social enterprise, successful crowdfunding, social-enterprise marketing and sustainability and impact.

“This is the kickoff of the overall program,” Centofanti said. “I am going to evaluate after this to see what resources are needed [for social enterprise here].”
