A summary of recent criminal activity in Girard, Liberty and Hubbard:

GIRARD

Oct. 8

Criminal mischief: A Krehl Avenue man noticed a large cut to a cover over his truck.

Drugs: Christopher Thompson, 33, of Artmar Drive, Youngstown, was handed a minor-misdemeanor citation after having been pulled over near Trumbull Avenue when, police alleged, two suspected marijuana cigarettes were in his vehicle.

Oct. 9

Menacing: A North Avenue woman said a neighbor has been following her around their apartment building as part of ongoing problems between them.

Recovered property: An officer on routine patrol reported seeing in Stambaugh Park off Stambaugh Street a 2015 Nissan Altima with its tires missing and heavy damage before learning it had been reported stolen in Sharon, Pa.

Oct. 10

Menacing: A Stull Avenue man alleged his former employer threatened to beat him up after the accuser returned to the restaurant for which he had worked to collect his paycheck.

Theft: A North Ward Avenue woman reported $15 worth of change was missing from her car.

Drug paraphernalia: A traffic stop near Church Hill Road led to the arrest of Katie D. Roth, 18, of Hazel Street, Girard, on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. Roth had a device used to grind marijuana with suspected marijuana debris, a report showed.

Vandalism: A worker for J.P. Car Wash, 575 Trumbull Ave., reported damage to a change machine in one of the bays.

Oct. 11

Fraud: A South Davis Street man discovered two of his credit cards were used to make $57 in fraudulent charges.

Theft: A man noticed a $500 cellphone and a pack of cigarettes had been removed from his vehicle while he was in the 100 block of North Market Street.

Theft by deception: The owner of a Harry Street business who wrote two checks that totaled $2,392 to a Michigan company reported the name on the checks had been changed. The out-of-state company also reported the checks were stolen from their mail.

LIBERTY

Oct. 7

Arrest: Jesse McQueen, 41, was charged with operating a vehicle impaired during a traffic stop on Belmont Avenue. McQueen, of Howard Street, Youngstown, refused to submit to a breath-analysis test, a report stated.

Weapon: Officers answered a complaint about someone loitering on Townsend Avenue, where they charged John W. Griffiths, 35, of Overbrook Avenue, Youngstown, with carrying a concealed weapon and possession of drug paraphernalia. Griffiths had a small knife, a device commonly used to grind marijuana, a suspected crack-cocaine pipe and a suspected marijuana pipe, a report showed.

Burglary: Three males reportedly entered a garage in the 500 block of Murray Hill Drive and took a $90 bicycle.

Harassment: A Hadley Avenue man told police a caller who pretended to be a Mahoning County sheriff’s deputy said he needed the keys to a residence so another person could collect property. A sheriff’s department dispatcher, however, reported being unaware of anyone with the last name the caller had provided.

Possible theft: A woman reported a .357-Magnum revolver missing from a safe at her Townsend Avenue home.

Oct. 8

Aggravated menacing/criminal damaging: A Holly Drive woman alleged a Youngstown man, 26, slashed a tire on her car and threatened the accuser during a fight that apparently started when the victim wanted the man to remove an online comment and he refused.

Arrest: While responding to a domestic situation on Trumbull Court, police took into custody Randall K. Richardson of Lilburne Drive, Youngstown. Richardson, 53, was accused of failing to appear in Youngstown Municipal Court.

Theft: Antonio D. Wilson, 32, of Halls Heights Avenue, Youngstown, faced a theft charge after a manager with Youngstown Crab Co., 3917 Belmont Ave., alleged Wilson refused several times to pay a $61 food bill after having been dissatisfied with his meal.

Oct. 10

Breaking and entering: Authorities responded to an alarm at Our Lady of the Woods Pastoral Center, 3128 Logan Way, where they reportedly discovered a door had been kicked in, though it was unknown if anything was missing.

Theft: A $1,500 tool shed was stolen off the back of a vehicle in the 4500 block of Belmont Avenue.

Oct. 11

Threats: Officers received a report that a Youngstown man, 22, had made general threats to harm people in a Monticello Boulevard apartment.

HUBBARD

Oct. 6

Theft: Keysun E. McGowan, 35, of Bedford Road, Masury, was charged with stealing an $18 DVD from Family Video, 144 W. Liberty St.

Theft: A man reported his wallet missing from his truck as he shopped at a North Main Street store.

Oct. 7

Arrest: Authorities responded to a report of a man lying near sidewalk on Stewart Avenue before charging George A. Ripple of Stewart, Hubbard, with disorderly conduct while intoxicated. Ripple, 58, became combative and continually yelled profanities, a report said.

Oct. 9

Arrest: Police arrested John P. McFall, 26, at his South Main Street residence. The Hubbard man was wanted on a Brookfield warrant charging telecommunications harassment.
