2 girls face charges
WARREN
Two city girls, age 13 and 14, are charged with several offenses, including domestic violence, criminal damaging and obstructing official business, after incidents starting about 2:30 a.m. Monday at North Park Avenue and Washington Street.
Police were called to Circle K, 606 North Park, for girls yelling and being disorderly near the store. The girls swore at officers, then one walked to the parking lot of Coleman Professional Services next door. One of them pretended she was throwing a rock at a window, then threw a rock lightly.
The girls ran south on North Park and threw rocks at windows on apartments at 438 North Park, shattering two windows. The girls were arrested but thought it was “cool to be placed in the back of a police cruiser,” police said.
The girls said they wanted to go to the juvenile justice center and would not leave the police station with their parents. They were eventually taken to the juvenile justice center.
