YOUNGSTOWN

Bond is set at $1 million for Keion Stella of Dunston Drive in Warren, who is charged with three counts of kidnapping and one count of rape Sunday.

Judge Elizabeth Kobly of municipal court set the bond Tuesday afternoon at Stella’s arraignment hearing, according to 21 WFMJ-TV, The Vindicator’s broadcast partner.

According to a police report, a woman told officers she was raped at gunpoint in Youngstown on Sunday by her ex-boyfriend, who was identified as Stella.

When officers arrived, they found the woman standing in the driveway of her North Side home crying with her young children, age 5 and 6, according to the television station.

The 28-year-old woman said Stella asked to stop by her home to talk about their breakup.

When Stella arrived, he entered the house and pulled a gun out and pointed it at her, the victim told police. Stella is accused of ordering her to tie up her children with duct tape.

Once she duct-taped the children’s mouths and hands, police said Stella ordered her upstairs at gunpoint and into the bedroom of one of her children. She told police he sexually assaulted her in the bedroom and in the living room.

The television station reported after the sexual assault, Stella purportedly told the woman he was going to leave and kill himself before fleeing the residence in a blue vehicle.

While police were at the woman’s home, a call was received that Stella may be on his way to a Volney Road home on the South Side in a blue Chevrolet Cruze.

Officers were able to take Stella into custody at that house. He is in the Mahoning County jail.

The television station also reported Stella is under investigation in Warren in a rape with similar circumstances involving another ex-girlfriend.
