Crafters, bakers sought for show
YOUNGSTOWN
The Mahoning Valley Historical Society is seeking holiday crafters, cookie bakers and candy makers to participate in the second annual Christmas Marketplace on Dec. 3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Tyler History Center, 325 W. Federal St., downtown.
The show is a combination of handmade artisan crafts and holiday treats. Table spaces can be reserved for $30. Space is limited. Vendors can print an application form at mahoninghistory.org or call the MVSH at 330-743-2589.
The Zombies to play Kent Stage

The Zombies, who were nominated last week for induction into the Rock and Roil Hall of Fame, will return to Kent Stage, 175 E. Main St., on March 24. Tickets are $50 and $60 and go on sale Thursday at kentstage.org or by phone at 877-987-6487.
Arts academy at Villa Maria
VILLA MARIA, PA.
The Southside Fine Arts Academy will resume programming at the Villa Maria Education and Spirituality Center, 2067 Evergreen Road, on Oct. 18 from 4 to 7 p.m. Classes will meet Oct. 18, Nov. 1, 15 and 29, and Dec. 6 with a Christmas program on Dec. 10 at 2 p.m. in collaboration with the annual Nativity display at the Villa.
The academy is available to all children grades K-6 at no charge. The curriculum includes visual art, theatrical arts, music, creative writing and poetry, dance, drum circle, mindfulness activities and yoga.
The academy also provides instruction to home-schooled children at Villa Maria. Classes are on Fridays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 20, Nov. 3 and 17, and Dec. 1, with a Christmas program on Dec. 10 at 2 p.m. There is a nominal fee.
