TERRE HAUTE, IND.
Easton Stick passed for 191 yards and four touchdowns before sitting out the fourth quarter and North Dakota State rolled to a victory over Indiana State. Stick hooked up with Connor Wentz for first- and second-quarter scores and found Dallas Freeman and Ben Ellefson for TDs in the third to put the Bison up 45-0. Stick came into the game with a 188.5 quarterback rating, second in the FCS. Lance Dunn carried it 16 times for 74 yards and two scores. Adam Cofield’s first career TD, an 11-yard run in the fourth, capped the scoring for NDSU (5-0, 2-0 Missouri Valley Conference), which has won an FCS-best 11 straight regular-season road games. The Bison picked off three passes and recovered three fumbles. Lemonte Booker rushed for 104 yards on 10 carries for the Sycamores (0-5, 0-2), who played their first home game in 37 days.
Western Illinois 38, Northern Iowa 29
CEDAR FALLS, IOWA
Sean McGuire threw three touchdowns including the game-winner in the final seconds as Western Illinois beat Northern Iowa. The Leathernecks (4-1, 1-1 Missouri Valley Conference) trailed 29-25 with six seconds to play when McGuire hit Jaelon Acklin at the goal line for a 20-yard touchdown and a 31-29 lead. Michael Bishoff recovered a NIU fumble on the ensuing kickoff and took it 20 yards for another Leathernecks’ touchdown for the final score as time expired. McGuire finished with 334 yards passing for the Leathernecks. Acklin had 158 yards receiving and Steve McShane had 56 yards and a score rushing. Dunne threw for 342 yards and four touchdowns for the Panthers (2-3, 1-1).
South Dakota State 49 , Southern Illinois 14

Taryn Christion threw four first-half touchdown passes, Brady Mengarelli rushed for 220 yards and two scores and South Dakota State overpowered Southern Illinois. Christion connected with Marquise Lewis for a 10-yard score and Skyler Cavanaugh from 16 yards out for a 14-0 lead. Mikey Daniel’s 4-yard TD run put the Jackrabbits (4-1, 1-1 Missouri Valley) up 21-0. Mengarelli scored on runs of 28 and 32 yards for the Jackrabbits, who have outscored opponents 58-7 in the first quarter this season.
Northern Arizona 37, Illinois State 16

Case Cookus threw for 380 yards and three touchdowns and caught a pass for another score as Northern Arizona stunned previously unbeaten Illinois State. With the score knotted at 6-6 in the second quarter, Cookus moved the Lumberjacks (3-2) 75 yards in seven plays and capped the drive with a 32-yard scoring strike to Elijah Marks with 29 seconds left to give NAU a 13-7 halftime lead. On their first possession of the second half, Cookus drove the Lumberjacks 80 yards in five plays and connected with Wallace Gonzalez from 21 yards out for a 20-7 lead. NAU stretched the lead to 27-6 when Cookus caught a pass from Chance Brewington for a 23-yard score. Cookus added his final scoring pass in the fourth quarter, connecting with Cory Young from 23 yards out.
