Danielle Hvisdak and Robert Bates, both of Boardman, exchanged wedding vows during a May 27 ceremony at Holy Rosary Church in Lowellville. The Rev. Lawrence E. Frient officiated.
The bride is the daughter of John and Diane Hvisdak of Lowellville, and the groom is the son of Patricia Bates of Canfield and Carl Bates of Port St. Lucie, Fla. An outdoor reception was held at the home of the groom’s mother.
The couple took a honeymoon cruise of the Mediterranean.
The bride wore an ivory/champagne-colored lace sheath gown with a front slit halter neckline, open back and a chapel-length train.
The maid of honor, Lindsay Svetlak, wore a navy blue dress. The best man was Joseph Bates, the groom’s brother.
Mrs. Bates graduated from the Jamison School of Radiology in New Castle and is employed at Alliance Radiology at Belden Village in Canton.
Mr. Bates graduated from the University of Akron with a bachelor’s degree in business. He is employed at Agency Real Estate and is the owner of Hoover’s Concessions.
