Ursuline’s Taylor Tomlinson scored the contest’s first goal three minutes into the game, then Mooney had the next four. Bre Evans scored twice and Anna Wollet and Carolyn Kay each scored once. Skylar Huda made five saves for Mooney and Jordyn Kenneally had six for Ursuline.

BOARDMAN

Boardman’s Camille Holzchuh made nine saves to preserve the draw. Howland’s Kamryn Buckley made four saves.

ASHTABULA TOWNSHIP

Whitney Hendrix scored four times for Hubbard. Lily Sinopoli and Amber Flynn each chipped in a goal.

WARREN

Goals for Canfield were scored by Ashley Story, Macey Malinky, Marisa Scheetz, Alexis Bernat, Chloe Kalina and Hannah Stein. Stein had two assists, Sheetz had one and Morgan Carey had one. Amanda Stone scored the loan goal for the Raiders assisted by Lexi Snowden. Keeper Olivia VanDevender made five saves for Canfield and Paityn Steinstra made 10 saves for Harding.

GIRLS TENNIS

Division II Boardman Sectional

Poland, Lakeview, Warren JFK and Cardinal Mooney all have a shot at winning a sectional title today.

In singles play, Poland’s Marisa Ricciardi will face Lakeview’s Anna Garvin for a sectional title. They defeated Ursuline’s Lexi Tsudis (6-0, 6-4) and Vy Hoang (6-3, 6-1). The two Ursuline tennis players will play each other for third place.

In doubles play, Warren JFK’s Kaytlin Marlatt and Lauren Kraker defeated Mooney’s Julia Giamboli and Jesse DiDomenico (6-4, 6-1). The Eagles’ pair will face Mooney’s Isabella Francisco and Hannah Matthews, who beat JFK’s Caitlin Condoleon and Sophia Zamarelli (6-1, 6-2).

BEAVER TOWNSHIP
