Mahoning County OVI Task Force announces checkpoint grant

CANFIELD

The Mahoning County OVI Task Force announced today they have received grant funding to run 12 sobriety checkpoints in the 2018 fiscal year.

More than $112,000 in federal funds will be used for equipment and overtime for officers to man the checkpoints.

The task force is made up of 14 police departments and the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
