Youngstown firefighters Joseph Stubbs and Christopher Tripi test a water cannon Tuesday used for dowsing fires on oil tankers. The department trains annually with Marathon Oil to ensure firefighters are prepared for fires or spills at the company’s facilities on Bears Den Road. The cannon releases 1,000 to 3,000 gallons of water a minute.
