Jackie Grisdale scored Poland’s goal off an assist by Maggie Sebest. Bethany Rasile tied the game for Niles after scoring on a penalty kick in the final minutes.

Sara Ciletti scored three times, twice in the second half to push the game out of reach. Kaitlyn Chambers also scored in the first half. Kyvette Carmichail scored the only goal for the Raiders. Harding goalkeeper India Stovell had seven saves. Kamryn Buckley had two saves for Howland.
Springfield 11, Leetonia 2

Kylee Kosek scored four goals for the Tigers, and teammates Cierra Latronica and Haley LaMorticella each had a hat trick. For Leetonia, Kylie Tullis also scored goals and Kayla Jackson also scored. Rebecca Catlos had five saves for Springfield and Leetonia’s Zoe Bruderly had six.

Hubbard’s Lily Sinopoli and Whitney Hendrix scored two goals each. Kyleigh Johnson scored the Eagle’s remaining goal. No stats were reported for Lakeview.

Warren JFK advanced six of seven players in the first day of the sectional tournament. IT’s possible it’s the first time in more than 50 years that one team had six winners after day one. Both doubles teams qualified for district. Paras Kontos won three matches and plays her quarterfinal qualifying match today. Caprice Eaton is only the second unseeded freshman to make the qualifying round in recent memory.Four seeded teams in doubles and Lexie Tsudis (Ursuline) in singles have advanced to Wednesday’s semifinal matches.
