YWBA to induct four into HOF

Group also will recognize secretary of year

The 41st annual Bowling Hall of Fame Induction of the Youngstown-Salem USBC Women’s Bowling Association will be today at A La Cart Catering.

Inductions take place in conjunction with the annual awards banquet, where Secretary of the Year Rita Evans also will be honored.

Inductees are:

Shirley Carson, a YWBA member for over 20 years who has won two individual tournaments in 1998 and 2008 and in 2012 with her team.

Julie Hrebovcin, a member for 37 years who has bowled in 33 Youngstown and 22 Ohio tournaments. She also has been president of her Thursday Nite Ladies Match Play League for four years.

Carol Pennington, a member for 24 years who has bowled in 12 Youngstown and 24 Ohio tournaments and a winner of several Youngstown City team actual and handicap events.

Sherrie Skelton, a 23-year member who has bowled in 23 Youngstown tournaments and has several Top 10 averages, her highest (210) recorded in the 2013-14 season.
