Packer Thomas, a regional certified public accounting and business consulting firm, recently announced the promotion of Debra L. Liggett-Dixon, CPA, to principal.

Liggett-Dixon is a graduate of Youngstown State University with more than 30 years of diverse tax experience specializing in state, local, international and high net worth individuals.

Packer Thomas was established in 1923 and has offices in Canfield and New Castle, Pa.

JobsOhio ranks as the No. 3 state economic development organization in the country, according to a new survey of U.S. corporate executives and site selection consultants released at the International Economic Development Council annual conference.

Conducted by Development Counsellors International every three years, the “Winning Strategies in Economic Development Marketing” survey has tracked trends in economic development since its inception in 1996.

Ohio also ranked high in the survey, viewed as having the No. 9 business climate among the 50 states.
