Man pleads guilty

youngstown

JeShawn Elliott, 37, of Outlook Avenue, who stands accused of murdering his girlfriend in Youngstown and driving her body to Niagara Falls, pleaded guilty Tuesday to menacing charges in New York. The charges arose when Elliott threatened Niagara Falls police officers with a knife as they arrested him in the August death of Anvia Mickens, 28, of Bradley Lane.

In September, Lt. Doug Bobovnyik told The Vindicator that Elliott told a Youngstown detective he killed Mickens in Youngstown, and Mahoning County will prosecute Elliott for the skaying.
