THURSDAY

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church, 526 W. Rayen Ave., will take orders for potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $6 per dozen. No containers are necessary. Orders should be placed from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday at 330-746-9528 or 330-744-5820, and are to be picked up between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Friday at the church hall. Hot lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

VFW Col. Louis J. Campbell Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals include meatballs, salad, bread and butter, and coffee. FRIDAY

Christ the Good Shepherd Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will offer pirogi. Order by calling 330-755-1316 Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. with pickup from noon to 1:30 p.m. Friday. Choose potato, kraut or prune at $6 per dozen. The last day to order pirogi is Dec. 15. Sales will resume Jan. 12.

Christ Our Savior Parish at Holy Trinity Church, 250 N. Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. The cost is $6 a dozen. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi while supplies last. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 10 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $11 for adults and $6 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.75. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. by calling 330-792-1005.

St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, will sell potato and cheese pirogi. To order, call 330-799-0084 from 8:30 a.m. to noon Thursday and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Pickup is 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Cost is $7 a dozen. No containers are necessary. Walk-ins are welcome. Use the side entrance.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St. New Middletown, will have potato, cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi for sale Friday. The cost is $6 per dozen. Orders will be taken Thursday and Friday from 8 to 11 a.m. Call 330-542-3525. Pick up Friday from noon to 3 p.m.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, is selling potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. Orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8 a.m. to noon Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. The cost is $6.50 per dozen. Pirogi lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Walk-in orders are welcome.

SUNDAY

Christ the Good Shepherd Parish will host a “Vilija Dinner” sponsored by St. John the Baptist Cultural Society from 4 to 7 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Church, 159 Reed Ave., Campbell. Knights of Columbus 3930 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 4500 Norquest Blvd., Austintown, is sponsoring a sausage and pancake breakfast from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The menu consists of sausage, a variety of pancakes and beverages. Cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children age 12 and under.

St. James the Apostle Church, 4019 state Route 422, will host John’s Breakfast Brunch from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Breakfast will include french toast, sweet cheese filling, buttermilk and buckwheat pancakes with a choice of maple or strawberry syrup, scrambled eggs (with or without peppers and onions), home fries, bacon, sausage, ham, toast, cinnamon rolls, hot and cold cereals, coffee, tea, juices and milk. The cost is $9 for adults and $4 for children.

St. Patrick Church, 1410 Oak Hill Ave., Youngstown, will host a spaghetti dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the church social hall. Menu also includes salad, bread, dessert and beverage. Cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children age 10 and under. Carryouts are available, and containers will be provided. VFW Post 2799 Auxiliary, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will host a homestyle breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon. Cost is $6 for adults and $3.50 for children under age 12. Menu includes eggs, hash browns, sausage or ham, pancakes or freedom toast, toast and coffee or tea.

Girard Knights of Columbus Ladies is taking orders for its holiday nut sale featuring one pound packages of fresh roasted nuts. The selection includes a deluxe mix for $8.50, cashews for $8.50 and sweet delight mixed nuts for $6.50. First Presbyterian Church of Girard, 890 Churchill Road, is taking orders for stuffed peppers or chicken noodle soup and homemade pepperoni rolls, bread and sticky buns. Soups are $5 per quart and $3 per pint; pepperoni rolls are $8 for a large and $2.50 for a single; bread is $2 for a large loaf and $1.50 for a small loaf; and sticky buns are four for $2.50. Holy Apostles Parish at Sts. Peter and Paul Croatian Church, 421 Covington St., Youngstown, is taking carryout orders for homemade stuffed cabbage. St. George Croatian Center, 3200 Vestal Road, Youngstown, will host a soup sale from 3 to 5 p.m. Dec. 29. All soups must be ordered by Dec. 15. The menu includes chicken noodle, wedding and sauerkraut and bean soups. The cost for chicken noodle, sauerkraut and bean soups are $6 per quart, and wedding soup is $7 per quart. First Congregational Church of Wayne Missionary Society is sponsoring a cookie dash Dec. 7 from 11 a.m. until sold out. It will take place at Wayne Town Hall, corner of routes 193 and 322 in Wayne Township. The cost is $3.50 per dozen.

Holy Family Parish, 2729 Center Road, Poland, will host a cavatelli dinner from 2:30 to 6 p.m. Dec. 6 or until sold out. Menu includes cavatelli with homemade sauce, two meatballs, tossed salad, bread and butter, and dessert. Cost is $10. Smaller portion of cavatelli and one meatball is $5. Fresh homemade pasta fagioli is $6 a quart, and homemade pasta sauce is $5 a quart. Takeout only. Patrons can place order and remain in their cars where the dinners will be delivered to them.

St. John Philoptochos Society will host a cookie walk from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 9 at St. John Greek Orthodox Church, 4955 Glenwood Ave., Boardman.
