Church to host quilting session Sunday

Children of St. Rose Church are invited to meet Sunday after the 11:30 a.m. Mass in the school cafteria, 61 E. Main St., for a quilting session.

A handmade quilt will be created and once finished, it will be raffled off. The money raised will be sent to the people of Puerto Rico as part of the hurricane relief effort. Lunch and materials will be provided.

Reservations are required. Volunteers are needed prior to the event to prepare squares for the quilt as well as to make lunch plans. Assistance also will be needed to serve the lunches and help the children complete the squares. Once the squares are complete, volunteers will be asked to help create the quilt and sell raffle tickets. To volunteer or register for this event, call 330-545-4351.
