Man: Wife stabbed me

YOUNGSTOWN

Reports said a man told police Monday afternoon he was stabbed by his wife in their Tyrell Avenue apartment after they argued over cheating in their marriage.

The man told police he tried to hug his wife, Aaliyah Clark, 22, to make her feel better and she said she would stab him.

Clark chased her husband around the apartment, knocking over a Christmas tree and a television before the victim fell down and Clark stabbed him in the thigh, reports said.

The man ran out of the apartment and met police at Salt Springs and Vestal roads about 1:30 p.m. and was taken from there to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.

Clark was arrested at her apartment and taken to the Mahoning County jail on a charge of felonious assault.

Robbed of purse

WARREN

A city woman, 26, was robbed of her purse as she walked at West Market Street and Austin Avenue at 6:40 p.m. Monday.

The woman said a thin male walked up behind her and grabbed her arm, so she pulled away. While she was pulling, the male let go of her arm but got her pink cheetah-print purse.

The woman screamed and ran, and the male fled, she said.

Museum Education and Outreach Workshop

Ohio History Connection’s Youngstown Historical Center of Industry and Labor, 151 W. Wood St., will be hosting the Museum Education and Outreach Workshop as one of its ToolBox Workshop Series from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

Dr. Marcelle Wilson, YHCIL site manager, will talk about how museums and other non-profit organizations can reach out to the community and promote their institutions.

Facing drug charges

YOUNGSTOWN

A man found passed out early Tuesday from a heroin overdose is charged with possession of heroin and possession of marijuana after reports said officers found the drugs in his wallet.

Reports said police were called about 2:40 a.m. to a home in the 200 block of Clarencedale Avenue where they found Robert Rosemburg, 22, of Auburndale Avenue, unconscious in the home.

When police looked in his wallet for his identification, they found the drugs, reports said.

Rosemburg was taken to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital by ambulance. Police placed a hold on him.
