Dead man is city's 23rd homicide in 2017

YOUNGSTOWN — A man who was shot to death early today on the North Side is the city's 23rd homicide victim of the year and second since Saturday.

Officers answering a shots-fired call at about 1:20 a.m. at a gas station in the 1400 block of Logan Avenue found a 26-year-old man dead of a gunshot wound.

Police are withholding the man's name pending notification of relatives,

In 2016, Youngstown had 18 homicides.
