Be a Santa to a Senior opportunities

Staff report

YOUNGSTOWN

Be a Santa to a Senior, a holiday program for Mahoning Valley seniors, is providing holiday cheer for its 14th year. Home Instead Senior Care partners with area retail stores, nonprofits and businesses by placing trees with ornaments with gift requests on the trees. The program will reach about 1,000 local seniors.

Holiday shoppers are invited to support the program by visiting participating locations where trees will be on display through Dec. 11. No need to wrap gifts, just buy the requested gift and return it to the store with the ornament attached. Community volunteers and program partners will wrap and deliver the gifts in time for the holidays.
