Canfield AARP 3104 will host its annual Christmas luncheon at 1 p.m. Dec. 4 at A La Cart Catering in Canfield. Reservations and choice of entree must be made by Friday by calling Dorothy at 330-533-4098. Nonmembers and guests are welcome at the meetings and bus trips. PERI, Mahoning County Chapter 18 will meet for its annual Christmas luncheon and meeting at noon Dec. 5 at Avion Banquet Center, 2177 W. Western Reserve Road, Boardman. Guest speaker will be Dr. George Beelen, retired Youngstown State University professor. Menu includes roasted turkey, bread stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, candied sweet potatoes, Tuscan vegetables, salad, rolls with butter, coffee, tea or soft drink and apple pie with ice cream. Cost is $13 and is payable at the door. Deadline for reservations and cancellations is Monday. No reservations or cancellations will be taken after that date. Police and Fire Retirees will meet for the annual catered, Christmas dinner party at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 14 at the Austintown Senior Center, 112 Westchester Drive. Reservations must be made by Dec. 4 by calling Carol at 330-758-8275, Rosemary at 330-533-2606 or Diana at 330-782-3154. Take unwrapped small toys, books, crayons, coloring books, playing cards, drawing books and pencils for the gifts to given to Akron Children’s Hospital. Beverages and table service will be supplied.
