Ohio Independent Automobile Dealers Association has named Chris Haus of Haus Auto Group as the 2018 Ohio Quality Dealer of the Year.

The OIADA accepts nominations from individuals honoring their choice of Independent Automobile Dealers to compete for the honorary title. Although there are many nominated, few are chosen and only one dealer is named the Quality Dealer of the year for the state of Ohio.

To be nominated for this coveted title is a high honor as there are more than 5,300 licensed dealers in contention throughout Ohio. Nominations are received by the OIADA throughout the year and the separation process begins. Only nominees who have displayed a career of professionalism, financial stability and support of their community are considered.

COMMUNICATIONS

Pecchia Communications recently announced Kelli Johnston has joined the public relations firm as a project manager.

A Youngstown State University graduate, Johnston ‚ãbrings strengths in social media, interactive and video communications, as well as research and planning. She worked previously in communications and recruitment at Quicken Loans in Cleveland and in marketing research at the Youngstown Business Incubator.

COUNSELING

Laura Kollat, assistant director of teaching and learning at the Mahoning County Educational Service Center, has been named Advocate of the Year for the Ohio School Counselor Association.

Kollat is not a school counselor, but was nominated by a local school district for all she does as a school counselor liaison at MCESC, a role that includes working with dozens of school counselors. In the nomination letter, school counselors highlighted how Kollat has taken initiative to learn about school counselors, provide resources to support school counselors and goes above and beyond to provide professional development.

EDUCATION

Ron Iarussi is being recognized as an Exemplary Educational Leader by the Buckeye Association of School Administrators. He was nominated and selected by his peers for the award.

Iarussi is the superintendent at the Mahoning County Educational Service Center and the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center.

REAL ESTATE
