Jacksons celebrate 50th anniversary at family dinner

Felix and Delores Jackson of Liberty celebrated their golden wedding anniversary Nov. 18 at a dinner at Tavola Ristorante with family and friends. The event was hosted by their children.

The couple’s children are Brian (Candace) Jackson and Deidre (Derick) Watson, both of Liberty. The couple have five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mr. Jackson married the former Delores Southerland on Nov. 18, 1967, at Price Memorial AME Zion Church, in Youngstown. They are members of New Hope Baptist Church.

Mrs. Jackson retired in 2007 from Ohio Lamp Plant in Warren where she was a utility operator.

Mr. Jackson was a yardmaster with CSX Railroad in Pittsburgh. He retired in 2006. He served in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1969.
