Students at Canfield Village Middle School celebrated Spirit Week Oct. 23-27. The students were encouraged to participate by dressing up in different themes on designed days.

Monday was Color Day as each grade was assigned a color to wear. Fifth-grade students were assigned yellow, sixth-grade was assigned blue, seventh-grade was assigned green and eighth-grade was assigned neon and tie dye. Members of Student Council decorated their grade level’s hallways with a variety of colored decorations.

Tuesday was Pajama Day, during which students were encouraged to wear pajamas; Wednesday was Favorite Team Day, during which students could wear a jersey or shirt representing their favorite team; Thursday was a Pink Out, during which students were encouraged to pink to support breast cancer awareness and Friday was Red and Black Day, during which students were encouraged to dress to show their school spirit and support the Canfield High School varsity football team in the Battle of 224 versus Poland.

“This is a fun week for the kids, and for the whole school. It’s nice to see everyone having fun and getting in the spirit on each day of Spirit Week,” said Michael Flood, CVMS assistant principal.
