BNI leadership

CANFIELD

BNI, an international networking organization specializing in business referrals among members, has elected new leadership for its Meeting Success Chapter.

Taking office for the 2018 fiscal year, the chapter’s new president is Robert Reams representing Western and Southern; vice president is Hannah Keeling from iM Image Marketing; and the secretary/treasurer is Val Park from Burgan Real Estate.

BNI will have a visitors’ day to introduce the new leadership for the Meeting Success Chapter at noon Wednesday at Davidson’s, 3636 Canfield Road.

The featured presenter will be Andrea Apisa of Apisa Accounting and Tax Services. She will host a free workshop on tax preparation for small businesses.

Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Race Course’s October video-lottery terminal revenue was $9.40 million, up from $8.57 million reported in October 2016.

In October 2017, the Austintown racino had an average of 1,035 video-lottery terminals or slot machines. In October 2016, the racino had an average 980 video lottery terminals.

The state’s seven racinos reported total video-lottery terminal revenue of $78.19 million in October. The state’s four casinos reported October revenue of $66.5 million.

Roofer apprenticeship

VIENNA

The Roofers Joint Apprenticeship Committee of Mahoning Valley is taking applications for another apprenticeship class to take place in February and March.

Basic qualifications to become a roofer apprentice are 18 years or older, physically able to perform the work of the trade and able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Application forms are available for pickup from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 to 4 p.m. weekdays, at the Roofers JAC office, at the Builders Association of Eastern OH & Western PA, 1372 Youngstown-Kingsville Road.

Applications may also be completed in person at the above location from 9 to 11 a.m. and 2 to 4 p.m. Dec. 11-15
