Gun stolen in Youngstown in 1976 found in Illinois

YOUNGSTOWN

The police department learned Tuesday that a gun taken in a 1976 burglary on the East Side was recovered by the Rockford, Ill., police department.

A report said the department was notified Tuesday evening that the gun was recovered. It was taken from an Early Road home in 1976.

Reports said the owner was told that the gun, a snub nose .38-caliber revolver, was found.
