UPDATE | Fire crews battle fire at former bar at Hillman, West Dewey

YOUNGSTOWN — Fire crews are battling a massive blaze at the old Larry's Lounge at Hillman Street and West Dewey Avenue.

Smoke is blotting out the sky and the odor of smoke is filling the air from the immediate neighborhood to downtown offices.

Fire investigator Capt. Kurt Wright said when crews arrived this morning smoke was coming of the basement then the flames spiraled out of control.

A ladder truck was used to get the flames under control. A strong wind is fanning the flames also, he said.
