Students visit MCCTC

Pictured above, West Branch Middle School eighth-grade students visited MCCTC for a special program, the Cutting Edge Manufacturing Event. The event takes place annually on National Manufacturing Day and is designed to expose middle-school students to the manufacturing industry, highlight the importance of manufacturing and the jobs available. Students heard from various speakers and took part in hands-on projects with local manufacturers. Approximately a half-dozen local companies participated in the event, representing careers in hydraulics/pneumatics, machining, welding and engineering.
