Junior Civic League to crown Miss Cinderella on Friday

The Junior Civic League of Youngstown will host its 62nd annual Cinderella Ball, “Still I Rise,” at 7 p.m. Nov. 24 at Mr. Anthony’s Banquet Center, 7440 South Ave., Boardman.

The 2017 Miss Cinderella Debutantes are: Rayvenne Bennett, East High School; Amber Janae Bowie, Liberty High School; Malaysia Hunter, Chaney High School; Lauryn Patrease Laney, Hubbard High School; Allexus Jahzell Minor, Valley Christian High School; Myra Lynn Taylor, East; and Jerrica Walker, Mineral Ridge High School.

Their escorts are: Tylair Little, Warren G. Harding High School; Justin Clark, Liberty; Khalyeo Bonner, Cardinal Mooney High School; Jonas Allen Rizzi, Hubbard; Randy Madison, Valley Christian; William Peterson, Youngstown State University; and Jared Miller, Mineral Ridge.

Matthew Harper of Cardinal Mooney and Daryl Smith Jr. of Girard, will serve as pages.

Doors will open at 5:30, and voting will take place until 7 p.m., at which time there will be a presentation of Miss Cinderella, first attendant and second attendant. Entertainment will be provided by the Michael Austin Project.
