Ward Bakery Building artists will open studios

Youngstown Area Artists will open their studios this weekend and next to demonstrate and sell their work.

The artists are in the Ward Bakery Building, 1024 Mahoning Ave., in the Mahoning Commons area just west of downtown and across the street from the U-Haul building.

Hours are noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, and again Nov. 25 and 26. Admission and parking are free.

Works will include painting, jewelry, sculpture, pottery, fiber art, glass, soap, mixed media, drawing, prints, metal work, photography and custom woodwork.

Each day will include live music by Diane Drapcho and the Golden Familiar. There also will be fresh-baked bread, pastries, cookies and pies available to purchase, and a chance auction for artwork from all of the participating artists as well as gift certificates from local businesses.
